图式理论在英汉翻译中的应用

论文摘要

图式是一个心理学名词，它是指人脑内发生的关于外部世界秩序的组织化了的心理结构，是人们赖以理解周围事物的基础。图式理论也被广泛应用于外语教学研究，尤其是应用于英语阅读理解的研究当中。本文试图讨论图式的构建与激活在翻译过程中所起到的作用，并进一步将图式理论应用于三种不同类型的图式的翻译。本文中，图式被分为三类，即：语言图式、内容图式、文化图式。根据这种分类，作者通过对一系列具体译例进行对比分析，讨论了不同类型图式的翻译。分析结果显示，图式的构建与激活将会影响整个翻译过程，包括理解与表达。因此，只有相关图式在翻译过程中被构建并激活时，译者才能更有效的进行源语的解码(理解)与译语的编码(表达)；相反，如果相关图式不能被构建或者激活，那么译者就很难进行有效的源语解码和译语编码。
