高中英语词汇教学与学习策略调查研究

本研究试图了解部分中国普通高中教师的词汇教学情况及所用的词汇教学策略、学生使用英语词汇学习策略的情况及所用的具体英语词汇记忆策略、不同英语学习成绩等级的学生在英语词汇学习策略使用上是否存在差异以及教师的词汇教学策略与学生词汇学习策略存在哪些关联及不匹配之处。该调查使用了三种调查手段。作者在一所普通高中进行了课堂观察并对23名教师和部分学生进行了访谈。并且对该校117名学生进行了问卷调查,该问卷参考O’Malley和Chamot (1990)的策略分类、Oxford (1990)的策略分类以及文秋芳(1996)等学者的研究成果而制定,详细调查了学生在元认知、认知以及社交/情感三个层次上使用英语词汇学习策略的情况。采用SPSS软件分析数据,结果表明:1)大多数参与调查的学生认为词汇学习是一种单调、机械的活动。总的来说,他们在词汇学习中采用了多种词汇学习策略;2)读写重复和口头重复等机械型策略是学生最常用的记忆策略,其它较常用的记忆策略还有:语义联想,构词法记忆和归类记忆等;3)成绩好中差三类学生使用某些相同的词汇学习策略。但是,他们在某些策略的使用上的确存在显著差异;4)教师经常使用的词汇教学策略有关联教学,演示教学以及互动教学等;5)教师教学策略与学生学习策略之间存在一定的联系。
