国际交流分类语境中的请求策略对比研究

在日益增多的国际交流和信息传播中，英语作为主要的语言手段有其不可替代的作用，而英语学习者在国际交流中的语用能力也渐渐引起国内外语言学家的兴趣和关注。言语行为中的请求行为虽然被语言学者广泛研究过，但大部分研究旨在分析中西方文化差异造成中国英语学习者与英语母语使用者在请求策略选择上的偏离。而本研究的不同之处在于引入“国际交流语用”的概念，探讨国际交流中的日常交际和学术交流这两类语境的语用特征对请求策略的影响，以及请求言语行为中策略运用频度与语境正式程度的梯度关系。换言之，请求策略的选择会根据国际交流中不同语境的正式程度而变化，而同时策略选择的差异也会反映不同语境的语用特征。 本研究采取开放式调查问卷，通过对124名中国高级英语学习者(包括英语专业组70人和非英语专业组54人)和74名美国大学生(英语母语组)的问卷调查及会话完形测试获得真实的语料，并在此基础上对比两类国际交流语境中请求策略选择上的区别以及中国高级英语学习者与母语使用者实施请求策略的异同。研究结果表明被调查者普遍认可学术交流语境的正式程度高于日常交际语境，并因此表现出在学术交流语境中运用礼貌策略频度相对较高。同时研究还发现，在学术交流语境中，中国高级英语学习者在礼貌策略选择的多样性和灵活性方面表现出明显的局限性，而且其请求行为中修饰语的冗长和不当引起在国际交流中的误解以及失当所带来的后果往往比语法错误本身更为严重。 最后，本文从研究分析结果指出国际交流语用学在对中国高级英语学习者的国际交流语用能力培养方面具有一定的实践意义，并给出一些暗示和建议。
