改革开放以来汉语政治新词英译研究

论文摘要

词汇是生活中最活跃的现象之一。新事物、新思想、新观念、新事件等都会增添新词语。改革开放20多年来，我国在政治、经济、文化、科技等各领域均发生了巨大变化。新事物层出不穷，新的方针政策相继产生，新的提法、新的词语不断涌现。这些都给翻译工作者提出了更大的挑战。汉语政治新词犹如一面镜子，透过它人们可以了解中国政坛的变迁。为了让外国朋友更好地了解中国政坛这20多年来的变迁；为了更好地介绍中国最新的发展；为了更好地交流观点和信息，翻译工作者应采用准确、地道且便于理解的译文。虽然汉语政治新词的研究者为数不少，但大多数都是对某一个问题而谈，没有集中对汉语政治新词的定义、产生途径、分类、特征、翻译原则等问题作一个全面系统的梳理；也没有归纳出汉语政治新词翻译过程中的的困难及误译产生的原因。这正是作者选择本课题的原因所在。本文的研究课题是改革开放以来汉语政治新词的英译研究。作者首先对新词、汉语新词、汉语政治新词分别作出了界定，之后全面系统地总结了汉语政治新词的分类及特点。接着作者分析了汉语政治新词英译的指导性原则，主要包括“信”的原则、“对等”原则和“跨文化交流”原则。之后，作者又根据具体情况，结合汉语政治新词实用性这一特征概括了汉语政治新词英译应遵循的实际原则，主要从理解和表达两方面来分析。汉语政治新词英译需要译者对原文的政治内涵有准确而深入的理解，对原文的上下文有准确到位的理解；此外，表达方面应尽量采用地道的语言，采用“内外有别”原则、“三贴近”原则，且尊重惯例，并且不能忽略受众者的接受能力、思维能力等等。其次，作者分析了汉语政治新词翻译的难点及误译产生的原因和影响。最后作者通过对具体译例的分析提出汉语政治新词英译主要采取归化异化、对等词、回译、中国英语、直译、直译加注和意译等翻译方法。
