中等职业学校学生的英语语用能力培养

社会生活的信息化和经济的全球化,使英语的重要性日益突出。外语教学的终极目标是培养学生的交际能力,但传统的外语教学目标是培养学生的“语言能力”即语言形式的正确性,而忽视了对学生实际语言运用能力的培养。学生的注意力只集中在死记硬背词汇和语法知识上。许多研究表明学生的语用能力和他们的语言能力并不相配。因此,“哑巴英语”出现了。学生可以从容应对各种考试,但他们在需要用外语进行实际交际时,就会出现用词不当,语言不得体等现象。我们把这种失误叫做“语用失误”。要做到真正理解和恰当使用一门语言,仅仅懂得这种语言的发音、词汇和语法是远远不够的,我们还必须懂得这种语言的文化背景、讲话人的意图以及听话人的推断等,即须具备一定的语用能力。语用学是一种理论,它研究说话人如何使用语言来进行成功的交际。它是研究如何在一定的语境中使用和理解语言的科学。自从1938年莫里斯第一次提出这个术语以来,在很短的时间里,语用学已经从语义学“垃圾箱”的地位迅速发展成为一门生机勃勃的学科。语用学自从八十年代引入中国以来发展十分迅速。“我国开展的语用学研究大致可分为三个方面:1)面向外语教学的语用学研究,2)面向汉语语法和语用学开展的研究,3)语用学理论的研究。”(沈家暄,1996)语用能力是指“为达到一定目的而有效使用语言的能力和在语境中理解语言的能力”.(Thomas,1983:94)语用能力对于维持人际关系、
