论文摘要
组播能够实现群组高效通信,发送者只要把把数据一次发出,多个接收者便可以接收到。在本论文中提出了一种应用层组播解决方案,用这种解决方案,在现有可用网络服务基础上建立overlay network,以便数据包在应用层上组播传输。overlay network是这样组织的:每个终端节点把接收到的组播信息发给其它接收者,但是不是全部。因此组播树的形成不需要依靠任何网络环境和任何网络设备来维护组播状态信息。可扩展性被认为是一个很重要的问题,它阻碍了应用层组播的研究。因此一种能够支持大规模群组得协议在本文中被提出。在本文提出的协议中,所有节点参加一个组,形成一个mesh。这以后算法在mesh上运行形成一棵树,它在传输数据过程中起主要作用。所有在组中的节点保存它在组中的所有其它节点,然后不时的与邻居节点交换信息。当组中的节点数上千时,更新信息成为一个很严重的问题,这样便阻碍了可扩展性。基于这样一个问题,分层组播便提出了,这包括把大的组分层较小的易处理的组,这样,可扩展性便达到了。
