汉英学刊科研论文摘要的对比分析

论文摘要

科研论文英语摘要的写作非常重要,因为中国的研究生和科研人员要通过英文摘要使自己的研究成果简明有效的传达给世界,以便读者评价并决定是否要进一步阅读论文。所以,找出英语摘要写作的一般状况,进一步找出中国科研论文中摘要汉译英的状况,尤其是其中存在的问题,是非常重要的。本研究对汉译英的英文摘要和英美作者写的英文摘要之间,以及汉译英的英文摘要和其相应的中文摘要之间,进行了对比分析。一共对比了120篇科研论文摘要,包括40篇中文摘要,40篇汉译英的摘要和40篇英美作者写的英文摘要,以便研究它们的体裁,包括语步和其他相关的语言学特征。结果表明各语步在汉译英摘要和中文摘要中的频率没有明显区别,而各语步在汉译英摘要和英美作者写的英文摘要中的频率存在明显区别。两组比较中也有一些语言学特征的不同,如汉译英摘要和英美作者写的英文摘要间的时态、情态动词、被动语态、第一人称代词和语步的长度,汉译英摘要和中文摘要间的科技词汇、数字和单位、句子结构。这些不同是由一些语言学和心理学方面的原因引起的,如负迁移。希望这样的体裁研究能够对中国的研究生和科研人员英文摘要的阅读和写作提供帮助。
