文学翻译的流失与补偿 ——《喧哗与骚动》的案例研究

论文摘要

本文将从翻译的本质出发对翻译中的流失现象进行研究。翻译的根本意图是要把信息完整地从一种语言载体转换到另一种语言载体，但流失现象却使得译者总是不能完美地完成他的使命。流失现象根源于翻译的矛盾本质，矛盾本质在理论上有着其根源，在实践上则表现为不可避免的流失现象。一方面文章将从理论上梳理有关流失现象的论述，并加以推理探讨；另一方面文章将从实践的角度选取流失现象比较突出的案例来检验上述理论。文章由六章组成。第一章对全文实验分析作了简单的介绍。第二章研究了现代翻译学界对于翻译流失现象的论述，并从逻辑上对这些论述做出推理判断，最后在理论层面上得出翻译中的流失现象是不可避免的。文章第三章选取一部具有鲜明文学特色的小说作为案例进行研究。因为小说的文学性语言中融入了丰富的美学元素，为了更深刻地认识这部小说的美学特点，并为后面分析这部小说的译本打下伏笔，所以文章在这一部分系统分析了小说的语言特点。第四章对比分析了原文和译文，上述翻译理论将在对比分析中得以检验，其中一些问题也会暴露出来。通过对原文和译文语言细节的比较，两者的区别将被展现出来，翻译过程中的各种流失现象将更清晰的显露出来。这些流失现象将会从语音、形态、词汇、句子、篇章、文化各个层面被论述。译者的补偿策略也将被公正的衡量。在此基础上新的补偿策略将在第五章被讨论，以寻找更有效的补偿方法。最后，第六章总结出：通过从不同角度的研究，我们才能更深刻全面的分析流失现象和了解翻译的本质，最终才能更好的通过译文欣赏原文。
