基于图示理论的大学生英语写作能力的研究

基于图示理论的大学生英语写作能力的研究

大学英语四级考试对每一位非英语专业的学生来说都值得重视,并对其影响重大。但连续多年来学生在四级考试中写作平均成绩一直在5—7分之间徘徊(满分为15分)。由此可见,大学生的英语写作能力不尽如人意。因此近年来,外语教师和语言学者对于写作教学的研究呈逐步上升趋势。本文重在研究大学英语写作教学中,基于图式理论的英语写作教学对非英语专业学生的英语写作能力所产生的影响,旨在找到提高他们写作能力的有效途径与方法。本研究主要以英语写作测试,问卷调查,访谈为研究工具,采用定量与定性相结合的方法分析120名大学一年级非英语专业学生实验前后在写作方面的差别。在实验过程中,将所有被试分为控制组和实验组两组,每组60名学生。首先,通过对控制组和实验组的问卷调查和前测,了解学生的写作现状,写作习惯以及写作过程中遇到的困难。接着,控制组继续接受传统的写作教学模式,而实验组接受基于图式理论的新的写作教学培训。然后,对所有被试做写作方面的后测,得出相关数据,用SPSS17.0软件进行统计、分析。最后,随机抽取实验组20名同学进行了访谈,了解图式理论对他们的写作能力的影响及他们对此新的写作教学模式的认可度。研究结果表明:(1)基于图式理论的写作教学模式对非英语专业学生的写作能力具有积极影响,学生的写作能力得以提高,并有利于帮助学生改变了他们不良的写作习惯和写作模式。(2)图式理论的应用使得学生的写作能力从语言、内容和形式方面都有了很大的提高。(3)经过前测和后测的数据对比,实验组显示出显著性差异,这些学生的英语写作能力突飞猛进。(4)基于图式理论的写作教学模式得到了学生的认可,使学生对英语写作产生了浓厚的兴趣。此研究存在的缺陷,作者在本文的结论部分指出,并给出建议。
