小组合作在中国大学英语专业写作教学中应用的一例研究

论文摘要

本研究旨在检验合作学习以小组合作的形式在中国大学英语写作教学中的功效,并力图探究出在中国学习外语的环境下影响小组合作写作效果的因素。本研究共有三个步骤。第一步为定量研究,运用两个独立样本进行对比实验,旨在检验小组合作在中国大学英语写作教学中的功效;第二和第三步为定性研究,通过对干预组的学生发放学生调查问卷和进行后测反思访谈来探求在中国学习外语的环境下影响小组合作写作效果的因素。准实验研究于2006-2007学年度下学期在天津外国语学院英语学院进行。参与者是来自两个班的49名大学二年级英语专业学生。其中一个班被随机指定为干预组(25人),另一个班为非干预组(24人)。本文作者运用SPSS 13.0软件包进行数据统计和分析工作,用Mp3对访谈过程进行录音,然后将访谈内容誊写成文字进一步分析。18周后,准实验研究的后测数据分析结果表明两组学生成绩没有出现显著性差异,但两组后测的平均分差要远远高于前测的平均分差。这意味着进行了合作写作活动的学生在提高写作技能方面比没有进行合作写作活动的学生进步大得多。基于本实验的结果和发现,并通过对学生调查问卷和学生访谈的分析,本文作者归纳出了在中国运用合作学习教授大学英语写作课程的一些优势,列举了一些存在的问题,并提出了一些解决问题的办法。最后,本文作者针对此领域进一步的研究提供了一些建议和启示。
