《雷雨》和《芭巴拉少校》中英汉称谓语的社会语用对比分析

关于称谓语的研究由来已久,在国内外引起了许多学者的重视,但这类研究大都局限在社会语言学范畴内,而且大多是一种静态的描写,而称谓语的使用是多变的,从语用学角度研究称谓语给称谓语研究注入了新的活力。因此,本文采用静态与动态相结合的方法,不仅研究称谓语的形式结构,而且运用社会语用学的观点分析称谓语选择和转换的制约因素,考察称谓语在具体场景下,在特殊时间内,涉及具体人物关系时所起的作用和达到的语用修辞效果。本文选用《雷雨》的汉英对照本和《芭巴拉少校》的英汉对照本作为语料,进行英汉称谓语语用含义的对比分析及英汉称谓语翻译策略的讨论。本文首先回顾了称谓语理论的源流和国内外学者的经典理论成果以及近期的研究趋势,进而构建社会语用学理论框架,从社会语用学的角度来理解称谓语,即从言语行为、语境、礼貌标记以及文化特性的角度阐释这种语言现象,然后详细分析这两部作品中具体称谓语使用的制约因素以及社会语用含义,如:亲属称谓语,人名称谓,昵称,泛称,并且对比这两部作品使用称谓语的异同之处,然后分析影响称谓语转换的因素,包括人际关系、权力与等同以及语境因素,最后详细探讨戏剧中称谓语的翻译策略,对翻译中出现的语用失误以及语用不可译性进行解析。本文获得的主要结论是称谓语的使用及转换受到诸多社会语用因素的影响,称谓语的社会语用功能应根据具体语境恰当分析,因此在翻译称谓语时应根据其特定的社会语用功能达到动态对等,对于语用不可译性也应尽可能保留语用含义,更准确地传达原文的意思。本文的创新点在于采用静态与动态相结合的方法对戏剧称谓语进行社会语用学分析,进一步揭示这种语言现象的本质。
