论文摘要
著名的翻译家前辈张谷若一生致力于英国文学的研究与翻译工作。他的地道译文在翻译界独具一格。其译作涉及小说、诗歌、戏剧等等,尤以哈代译作著称,被称为“哈代专家”。他的翻译不仅对原作忠实,而且译语地道。随着近年来翻译界对译者地位的日臻重视,译者主体性逐步受到国内外翻译学者的关注,因而,对张谷若这样的翻译大师进行深入地研究也势在必行。本文以阐释学理论为理论基础,从译者主体性的角度系统的研究张谷若的翻译艺术,探讨文学翻译中译者的主体性,试图为文学翻译中译者主体性的发挥提供理论依据,以有利于文学翻译实践。论文主要包括三部分:导入部分介绍选题的必要性及论文的主要目的、内容和方法。论文的主体部分包括四个章节:第一章综述译者主体性在翻译研究中的发展历程,并将国内外翻译学者对这一问题的讨论进行了粗略的疏理;第二章以阐释学为理论基础,分析哈代和张谷若的共同之处,论证了张谷若作为译者对原作者的选择和对原文本的理解,是译者主体性的重要体现;第三章以《德伯家的苔丝》为例对张谷若翻译艺术在具体翻译过程中的体现进行个案研究,主要探讨其再现原文本的过程中在不同层面上,如词汇、句法、四字格、注释、修辞格、意境与意向等方面的翻译策略的选择,论证了从中体现出的译者的目的语文化意识和目的语读者意识,也是译者主体性的重要表现。第四章从译者主体性的角度综述了张谷若的翻译艺术及其对文学翻译的影响。最后是论文的总结部分,文学翻译中译者的主体性在张谷若翻译艺术中得到了充分展现。
