On Translation of Children’s Literature with Reception Theory ——Based on Analyses of Chinese Versions of Charlotte’s Web

儿童文学翻译的译者和目标读者大多属于不同的群体,两者的文学能力存在着巨大的差异。长期以来,在翻译实践中,译作的目标读者—儿童的文学能力远未受到应有的重视,以致造成许多译本不能为儿童所接受。这也正是由于在理论研究层面,对儿童文学翻译的探讨不够系统和全面,没有能够有效的指导翻译实践。因此,通过对儿童文学翻译的深入研究,为其寻求理论上的指导和支持是急待解决的问题。接受理论确立了读者的中心地位,认为读者的阅读和接受对作品意义的实现起决定性的作用。将接受理论应用于儿童文学翻译,能够指导译者(尤其是成人译者)在积极参与理解和创造的同时,注重儿童的文学能力与期待视野及其在作品接受过程中的中心地位,以提高儿童文学翻译作品的可接受性。本文首先结合儿童文学的特点和儿童文学能力的构成指出儿童文学翻译的理论和实践中存在的问题与不足。然后,以接受理论为视角,通过对Charlotte’sWeb的三个成人译本和一个儿童译本的比较,分析四位译者在语言选择、语义转换、文化移植和审美再造方面的不同及其原因。最后试对儿童文学翻译提出建议性的指导和策略。
