跨文化交际视野下的翻译教材建设

论文摘要

改革开放以来,我国的外语教学得到了长足的发展,外语教学中外国文化的重要地位逐渐成为大家的共识。随着跨文化交际理论的迅速发展和广泛传播,研究者认识到只了解一般的外国文化背景知识并不足以有效地完成不同文化之间的沟通和交流,培养学习者的跨文化交际能力应当成为外语教学的重要目标和内容。近些年来,翻译理论的发展也异常迅速,其中文化翻译学派的研究成果尤其引人注目。该学派明确提出翻译研究的“文化转向”,强调翻译与文化之间的密切联系。在文化翻译理论和跨文化交际理论的共同指导下,人们清楚地意识到翻译在本质上是不同文化间的交际行为,跨文化交际能力是翻译能力的一个重要方面。翻译课程作为外语教学的一个组成部分,应当把培养学习者的跨文化交际能力作为课程的重要目标,在这其中翻译教材的作用不可或缺。目前我国市场上出版的翻译教材种类繁多,其中既有综合基础教程,也有口译、科技翻译等专门教程,但大多数教材形式雷同,内容相近,未能体现最新的理论发展成果和学习者的实际需求。与翻译教材大量出版形成对比的则是我国翻译教材研究领域的沉寂,重要的学术期刊上很少刊登翻译教材研究方面的文章,相关的学术专著更是屈指可数,在翻译教材市场繁荣的背后缺少系统深入的理论探讨和研究。在这样的背景下,本文把跨文化交际理论和文化翻译理论结合起来,首先总结了我国翻译教材的现状以及跨文化交际理论和翻译理论的最新发展,然后分析在跨文化交际的视野下进行翻译教材建设的重要性,提出应当编写跨文化交际翻译教材并利用其来着重培养学生的跨文化交际能力,从而使他们在翻译实践中实现不同文化之间的有效沟通和交流;最后本文提出了编写跨文化翻译教材的整体思路和具体建议。本文分为五个部分。引言介绍了研究的背景、意义和论文的结构。第二章对我国现有的翻译教材进行了回顾和分类,指出各个流派教材的特点和不足,分析总结了我国翻译教材研究的现状和发展趋势。第三章介绍了跨文化交际理论的主要内容,分析语言、翻译和文化之间的关系,阐明培养跨文化交际能力是培养翻译能力的重要内容。第四章分析了编写跨文化交际翻译教材的必要性,教材的目的、对象、特点和前景,并详细提出了自己对于跨文化翻译教材编写的总体构想和其中一个章节的具体设计。第五章总结了本文的主要研究成果,同时指出其不足之处和延伸研究的方向。
