关联理论视觉下的高职高专英语听力教学研究

论文摘要

听力理解是大学英语教学最重要的内容之一,已经受到越来越多的关注和研究。近年来,国内对听力理解的研究主要从心理语言学、图式理论和语用学等三个方面进行,本文首先总结了这些研究成果及其存在的不足之处,然后阐述了关联理论的基本概念,如关联、最佳关联、语境、互明、明示-推理交际模式等,并就其在听力理解中的作用进行了阐述。关联理论认为:人类认知倾向于同最大关联相吻合;每一个明示的交际行为都应设想为其本身具有最佳关联性。从关联理论角度出发,听力理解过程是一个不断寻找关联的交际过程,在此过程中,个体的认知环境(词汇知识,背景知识和推理能力等)对关联的寻找具有决定作用,从而影响听力理解能力。本文试图回答以下问题:(1)学生在听力理解过程中是否无意识地运用了关联理论的相关方法;(2)学生的个体认知环境与其听力理解能力的关系;(3)关联理论对高职高专院校英语听力教学有何启示。为此,本文以四川工商职业技术学院100名年级非英语专业学生为研究对象,以调查问卷和听力测试为基本研究工具,通过SPSS软件进行数据分析,得出一些有益的结论,主要包括:(1)学生在听力理解过程中无意识地运用了关联理论;(2)个体认知环境对学生听力理解能力具有重要影响;(3)对学生个体认知环境的培养有助于学生听力理解能力的提高。基于以上研究结果,本文提出了关联理论对高职高专院校英语听力教学的启示:通过灵活多样的方式丰富学生的背景知识和词汇知识,培养学生利用关键词捕捉关联的能力,以使他们能够根据语境对关键词词意进行缩放;提高学生的预测能力和他们的推理能力。
