言语交际中的积极语用模糊

论文摘要

模糊性是自然语言的属性之一,因此模糊现象伴随语言广泛存在于人们的社会及日常生活的交际之中。恰当运用语言的模糊表达不但不会成为言语交际的消极因素,反而是促进交际成功的一个有效策略。有时模糊的语言可以比精确的表达更准确、更有说服力,帮助说话者达到自己的目的。但是模糊语言若使用不恰当,就会给交际带来消极作用,导致交际失败。由此可见,能否得体地使用模糊语言标志着语言使用者语言能力的大小。本文从语用学的角度对有意使用模糊语言的途径进行分析,着重探讨语用模糊在社会多个领域(如科学、气象学、法律、新闻、广告,尤其是言语交际)中给交际(包括言语和非言语交际)带来的积极作用。最后作者提出这一语言现象对于大学英语教学也具有借鉴意义。在教学过程中,教师不仅要关注学生语言知识的掌握,语用能力的培养,而且要不断提高自身的语用能力来引导学生。
