中国大学非英语专业学习者写作错误分析实证研究

错误分析作为应用语言学的一个重要分支,无疑在第二语言的教与学中起着重要的作用。它可以帮助教师了解学习中大家共有的特点,对促进教师的教学及学生的学习具有重要意义。因此已成为调查研究和描述学习者语言的一项有用的技术。中国学生的英文写作一直以来都为许多英语教师及科研人员所关注,已有的研究表明对学生写作中出现的错误进行研究有助于更好地了解学生语言的发展阶段。虽然对于英语为第二语言学习者的写作错误已有众多研究,但在调查中国学习者写作错误方面的实证研究相对较少,对写作错误的量化研究也很有限,在国内更为少见。为此,本文以错误分析理论为指导,运用SPSS数据分析软件对非英语专业学生英语写作中出现的五类错误进行统计、分析。该研究对象为两个班级的学生,时间跨度为一个半学期左右。根据研究对象的期中和期末考试写作的收集而分别得到了三个样本。研究得出了三个结论:(1)语法、词汇错误和中国式英语是学生书面表达中出现频率最多的三类错误;(2)得分高的学生与得分低的学生的主要差别在于他们作文中出现的中国式英语的频率。(3)经过一个多学期的学习,学习者的错误犯得少了,可是不少错误仍然居高不下。此外,作者还根据研究中出现的“BE”错误进行归类,并推断出一些出现错误的假设。最后,本文对产生这些错误的原因作了分析和讨论,并提出了相应的改进措施。作者希望本文对于语言教师发现和解决中国学习者在外语学习中所碰到的问题有所帮助,并希望本文的一些发现对于以后的语言习得研究有所启发。
