目的论视角下的幽默英汉翻译

论文摘要

幽默属于一种普遍的语言现象,它存在于人们生活的方方面面。幽默是一种特殊的语言类型,是一种艺术,甚至是一种文化表现,它在人们的交流中发挥着重要的作用。而幽默翻译也成了很多学者们研究的焦点。从幽默翻译的难度来看,与诗歌翻译难度不相上下,因为幽默常常是体现一种文化和表现一门语言特色的载体。曾有很多学者从语言学、文化等的角度对幽默语言进行分析,取得了重大突破和成果,而对于幽默翻译的研究却并不多,特别是寻找一种适合的翻译理论来指导幽默翻译的研究并不多。本文从德国功能学派的核心理论,即目的论的角度,对幽默翻译进行分析和研究,主要通过将目的论的三大基本原则,即目的原则,连贯原则和忠实原则,以及目的论提出的两种翻译策略应用于幽默翻译的分析中。本文将具体分析幽默文本作为一种呼唤型文本的特点、功能和翻译目的,进而应用目的论三大原则分析一般幽默、文化幽默和语言幽默的翻译方法,并探讨各种翻译方法的优缺点,进而使英语幽默译者能够通过选择合适的翻译方法,遵守三大原则,实现幽默翻译的主要目的。
