从学习动机角度对英语专业学生英语学习自主性的探索

论文摘要

伴随着中国学生学习英语的盛行,英语学习研究吸引了很多方面的注意。其中,语言学习动机与学习者自主性之间的关系也引起了研究者的关注。本文从三方面着手对学生的英语学习过程进行了探索,即学习者的学习动机,学习自主性以及高考成绩。作者首先阐述了学习动机的四大种类,指出了学习者在进行语言学习之前应该明确自身的学习动机,在此基础上提高学习自主性,进而采取合适的语言学习方法,最终实现提高语言学习效率的目的。作者选取了来自三个不同学校的英语专业学生作为受试对象,根据大学入学成绩分为高分组,中分组及低分组。在研究方法方面,第一步进行了两个模块的问卷调查,即模块一:受试对象关于学习动机的意识;模块二:受试对象的学习自主性的态度。第二步为访谈。分两步走对所得数据进行研究。目的是要得出学习者的学习动机与学习自主性二者之间存在着一定的相关性,即语言学习者可以根据自身所学语言的学习动机类型来选择合适的学习方法,以达到提高学习成绩的目的。经研究证明,高分组的学生比中分组和低分组的学生对学习动机的种类的知识清楚,也更加趋向于自主性。因此,学习成果与学习动机和自主性学习都呈现了正相关的关系。另外,工具性动机,综合性动机,内在动机和外在动机四种动机都与学习自主性呈正相关,其中工具性动机与学习自主性的联系最强。相比较于综合动机和内在动机,外在动机与自主性的联系较强,而综合性动机与自主性的联系最弱。学生越是了解学习动机的不同种类就会在学习过程中愈趋于主动。换句话说,学生根据自身的语言学习动机的类型可以提高自主性以便选择正确的学习方法进而达到提高学习成绩的目的。在本研究的基础上,作者分别针对英语教学过程中的教师与学生提出了建议。学习动机与学习自主性关系的研究在英语教学过程中有很大的指导意义,从明确学习动机角度出发,激发学生的自主性,可以帮助提高学习成果。
