认知隐喻框架下的翻译思维过程探索

论文摘要

本文是以隐喻性认知理论为视角,对翻译思维过程进行的一次较系统性探索。现代隐喻理论也已不再把研究重心放在其修辞功能上,而是将隐喻看作一种概念现象来探讨其工作机制。当代翻译理论认为翻译不仅是两种不同语言体系之间的形式转换,更是译者积极的主体思维认知过程。由于同属思维活动,隐喻和翻译在字面意义、相关范畴、映射、工作机制方面存在着一定的内在联系。基于二者的相似性,本文针对翻译中认知过程研究长期被忽视的现状,运用认知语言学领域的两大重要理论框架——概念隐喻理论和概念整合理论来探索翻译的认知思维过程。旨在为翻译认知过程提供一个统一的框架模式,并对概念隐喻理论和概念整合理论对翻译思维过程的阐释力进行检验。本文将翻译划分为三类:相同认知联系共享同一组织框架;同一组织框架传达不同认知联系以及不同组织框架传达不同认知联系。同时探讨了它们各自适用的概念整合网络类型。不论哪种网络结构都属于本文的四空间整合模式,因而翻译的认知过程被赋予了一个统一的框架。最后,作者重新考察了翻译研究中长期存在的几个争论焦点,直译与意译、归化与异化、可译性与不可译性的矛盾在隐喻式翻译理论的应用下得以解决。通过概念隐喻理论和概念整合理论的认知机制分析,本文认为:两大隐喻认知理论在翻译思维过程的探索中起着相互补充的作用,对翻译研究有着重大意义。翻译理论与隐喻性认知理论的结合为各自理论的发展和完善提供了新的空间,并且对相关交叉学科的发展也有所裨益。
