论诗歌翻译中译者的创造性 ——《诗经》译本研究

国内外传统翻译理论都将翻译看成是“二等公民”,认为译者唯一的任务就是用一种语言忠实的再现原文。译者的创造性阐释会被认为是对原作的背叛,因此要尽量杜绝。20世纪60年代末,接受美学作为一种全新的文艺批评理论在德国兴起,很快就席卷了整个欧洲乃至美国的文学界。它不仅从根本上动摇了传统的文学研究模式,也给翻译研究带了新的启示。在接受美学看来,译者不再是原文被动的接受者,他和原文作者都是译文意义的生产者。文学翻译就是艺术再创作。译者的创造性从接受美学身上获得了理论支撑。作为语言的精华文化的结晶,诗歌以其独特的艺术魅力和美学价值著称。我们在翻译诗歌的时候,不仅要传达它的意思,还要传达它独特的形式美。这给译者增加了很大困难。“诗歌就是在翻译中丢失的东西”,这句话说明在诗歌翻译中,我们不可避免要丢掉一些诗歌原有的东西。这时我们就需要译者的创造性才华来弥补所丢掉的东西,使译文能像原文一样给读者带来其独特的美。由此可见,在实践翻译中译者的创造性也是必须的。本文作者结合理论和实践,对诗歌翻译中译者的创造性进行系统的研究。作者首先简要的介绍一下诗歌翻译的特点,认为在诗歌翻译中译者的创造性对诗歌翻译的成功至关重要。接着从接受美学的理论高度阐释了译者创造性的可能性和必要性。作者接着分析了诗歌翻译中译者创造性的原因以及其受制因素。在案例分析部分,作者以《诗经》为分析文本,采用了许渊冲教授和汪榕培教授两个英文译本,分别从诗歌的形式,语调,意象,修辞方法以及诗歌所要传达的深层意思5个角度进行深入的探讨,研究译者如何发挥其独有的创造才能准确的传达了原诗歌的音美,形美和意美。文章在结尾部分着重指出,译者的创造性不是信手拈来的,它对译者有很高的要求:深厚的文化底蕴,扎实的语言功底,敏锐的洞察力和勤勉的工作态度等等。所有有志于诗歌翻译的人都应该提高这些方面的修养。
