从英语时和体的角度研究语法隐喻的认知功能

论文摘要

隐喻植根于语言、思维和文化当中，它不仅是一种普遍的语言现象，更是一种思维方式，是人类认知了解世界的重要工具。在中外历史上，许多学者运用不同的方法从不同的角度对其进行了论述。隐喻来源于生活，反映出入们通过主观感受认识客观世界的本质，具有重要的研究意义。本文尝试在前人研究的基础上，从认知语言学的角度出发对语法隐喻进行分析和探究，结合系统功能语法、普通语言学、现代隐喻理论以及语用学和语言哲学等相关研究成果，试图分析语法隐喻在语言结构层面上的具体体现，尤其从英语的时和体范畴角度，剖析语言结构成分，重新审视和描述这种语言现象，同时为该语言现象以及所反映的语言发展变化提供一定的认知解释，从认知思维方面分析其在语言学习和运用中的重要作用和认知功能，以促进人们对客观世界的认识以及对语言的学习、掌握和运用。隐喻的三个特性：语义性、逻辑性和社会性。隐喻的社会功能主要体现在两个方面：隐喻在特定的时期为社会和科学活动提供了独到的见解并有一定的影响力；另一方面，这种见解是开放的，会导致新的隐喻以及新的见解产生；本篇学位论文总体分为五章：第一章综述部分，回顾了语法隐喻研究的历史和重要成果，对语法隐喻研究的重要性和研究概况进行简要的介绍，引出隐喻的认知观，阐述语法隐喻的认知功能分析的可行性、必要性和现实意义。第二章主要介绍韩礼德有关语法隐喻理论的基本观点以及其他学者对该理论的贡献，将以系统功能语法有关理论为背景，对语法隐喻进行定义与分类。重点分析了一致式和非一致式语法隐喻，因为这将在后面章节被用来分析英语当中的时和体这两个语法范畴。第三章是整个的论题中最重要的部份。基于前面的介绍，这一章重点分析语法隐喻在英语时范畴和体范畴当中的具体体现，重新审视和描述这种语言现象。并为这种现象和它的发展规律提供一种可行的认知解释。同时，它提供了时和体的认知定义，类型和详细分类，举例说明其用法其他一些关于时和体的特殊用法在这里也有所阐述。第四章介绍语法隐喻的认知功能，主要分析语法隐喻在时和体当中的体现对英语学习者的帮助以及在这方面的应用。有研究表明，对于把英语作为二外的学习者来说，要弄清楚英语的时和体范畴的形式和意义，是一个复杂而又困难的问题。最后一章是对这篇论文的总结，对本文研究方法和研究内容的简要总结和评述，提出这种研究方法只是一种尝试，目的在于对语法隐喻进行一定的认知解释，对本论文主要内容以及存在的问题进行总结。
