跨文化交际中的语用失误与英语教学

论文摘要

随着社会的进步与发展,外语作为交际工具,在现代社会生活中发挥着越来越重要的作用。长期以来,传统的语言学研究着重语言本身,而忽略了语言和人类社会环境及人类文化的密切联系。现在,越来越多的人意识到了语用失误的存在,语用失误已成为语用学和应用语言学研究的一个重要的领域。英语教学的根本目的就是为了实现跨文化交际,就是为了与不同文化背景的人进行交流。因此,本文从语用学角度出发,通过调查大学英语专业大二和大四的学生,主要在言语交际方面,对学生的语用失误现状进行了分析和比较。研究目的旨在揭示大学英语专业学生语用能力现状,语用失误的主要原因以及语用能力是否与语言能力呈正相关。研究通过使用调查问卷,统计以及对比的方法,得出了以下结论：一、英语专业大二和大四的学生,普遍在言语交际方面,比如介绍,招呼,邀请以及回复邀请等方面,平均语用失误率都超过了60%。二、语用能力和语言能力不呈正相关。随着语言能力的提高,语用能力提高不明显或者不提高。并且通过问卷调查发现,大二学生的语用能力强于大四学生三、学生语用失误的主要原因是母语的负迁移和文化差异。根据调查结果,学生在语用方面的失误,主要表现在：1.直接套用母语的表达方式和短语；2.照搬和模仿母语的表达方式,忽略文化差异；3.忽略对方的社会地位和职位,照用母语的负迁移,忽略文化不同。4.直接迁移母语文化价值观。最后,本文提出教师应该注意增强学生的跨文化意识,培养语言能力的同时,也注重培养语用能力,提高他们对与英语为本族语者进行交谈时的语用失误的敏感性,避免不必要的交际失误和交际误解,从而提高英语综合应用能力。
