模糊语言在商务信函中的运用

人类语言具有“模糊”的特性。近年来,关于模糊语言的研究在各个领域中正日益受到关注。传统研究认为商务信函要求清晰明了,避免歧义误解,商务信函的写作必须严格遵循7C原则,即Courtesy(礼貌)、Consideration(体谅)、Completeness(完整)、Clarity(清晰)、Conciseness(简明)、Concreteness(具体)和Correctness(准确)。然而在实际的商务往来信函中模糊语言的运用大量存在。本文对这一看似与传统理论相悖的情况进行了系统科学的研究。商务信函的种类繁多,本文作者借鉴语言学家Leech对言语行为的分类,共收集二十八封具有代表性的商务信函,将其分为合作类、和谐类、竞争类和冲突类四大类。基于模糊语言的基本理论、合作原则和礼貌原则,作者用定性分析与定量分析结合的方法,对信函做出了详细的分析。研究结果表明,和谐类与竞争类商务信函中模糊语言的使用频率较高;商务信函中的模糊语言主要是通过模糊词和模糊附加词实现。研究还总结出了在商务信函中使用模糊语言的六大功能。本文的研究结果能在一定程度上给商务人士,商务教学及模糊语言的学习研究者提供参考。
