文学翻译中的译者主体性 ——从阐释学的角度对莎剧两译本的对比研究

论文摘要

无论在西方还是在国内,人们在相当长的一段时间只是在语言层面上进行翻译。译者的劳动得不到出版商和读者的认可,在文学翻译的历史上广为传诵的译者并不多见。到了十九世纪七十年代,随着翻译研究的文化转向,译者的主体性成了一个热门话题。翻译从规范研究转向描述研究,从而为译者的主体性研究找到了新的方法。多元系统理论,目的论,解构理论等理论开始关注译本和目的语文化,大大推动了译者主体性研究。然而,许多关于译者主体性的研究只限于理论层面。本论文竭力倡导译者在翻译中的主体地位,并通过对莎剧两译本的对比研究详细论述了译者是如何实现其主体性的。本论文将从阐释学理论以及乔治·斯坦纳的翻译四步骤的角度来研究译者的主体性。在本论文主要章节,作者将运用以上理论详细分析莎士比亚两个中译本。在第四章,作者首先介绍了两位译者不同的经历,教育背景,社会背景,然后从宏观上分析了译者的主体性是怎样影响译者的翻译风格和语言特点。在第五章,作者运用乔治·斯坦纳的翻译四步骤来分析两译本,并从微观上论述了译者在翻译过程中是如何实现其主体性的。朱生豪和梁实秋都是著名的翻译家,都为莎剧的翻译作出了巨大贡献。但是由于他们有不同的生活经历,不同的教育背景和社会背景,所以译文的风格也大相径庭。相比较而言,朱生豪采用了意译的方法,而梁实秋采用了直译的方法。换言之,朱的译本是以中国文化为导向,而梁的译本是以西方文化为导向的。所以朱的译本属于大众流行读物,而梁的译本适合做研究莎剧的配套读物。总之,本论文把阐释学理论运用于译者主体性研究中。分析表明,现代阐释学和乔治·斯坦纳的翻译四步骤对译者主体性的研究是科学有效的。本论文旨在为提高译者的社会地位尽微薄之力,同时通过对译者主体性的分析来指导人们的文学翻译实践。
