从目的论角度看《德伯家的苔丝》的隐喻翻译

论文摘要

在文学作品中,隐喻一直起着增添作品美学价值、深化主题、帮助读者确切理解作品含义等重要作用。学者们对隐喻的研究有两千多年的历史,但一直局限于修辞领域。本文从德国目的论的角度探索文学作品中的隐喻翻译,并以《德伯家的苔丝》为例进行深入分析。目的论认为决定翻译过程的最主要因素是整体翻译行为的目的,即满足拥有各自特定文化背景,交际需求不同,对译文要求也各不相同的译文接受对象。同时,目的论包含三大法则:目的性法则,连贯性法则和忠实性法则。本文以“目的论”为理论依据,以三大法则为指导,探讨文学作品中隐喻翻译的最佳翻译策略。本文包括五部分,第一部分简要介绍隐喻翻译研究的现状和存在的问题,以及研究隐喻翻译的重要性;第二部分回顾目的论发展历史并对《德伯家的苔丝》作简要介绍;第三部分阐述隐喻的定义,分类,特点以及其在文学作品中的重要性;第四部分,在目的论框架下详细分析《德伯家的苔丝》中隐喻翻译所使用的策略,第五部分,结论。
