On Interpretation with Explanations in China’s International Communication

论文摘要

我国对外交往的目的在于通过向国外介绍中国以促进彼此了解,增进国际交流与合作,这有助于我国树立良好的国际形象,开拓国际市场。外事翻译是我国国际交流与合作事业发展的关键环节,是影响其效果的主要因素,因此,研究我国国际交流与合作中的外事翻译具有其必要性和紧迫性。考虑到目前我国外事翻译的研究多从实践的角度出发,因此,本文试从外事实践和纽马克的交际翻译理论相结合的角度,分析影响外事翻译质量的主要因素,讨论解释翻译方法在我国国际交流与合作中贯穿于各种翻译类型中的作用和运用技巧,以提高外事翻译质量,指导外事工作,促进中国的国际交往和对外宣传。本文作者作为一名外事工作者,通过对国际交流与合作外事翻译实践的思考和分析总结,发现译者在外事翻译实践过程中会出现死译、逐字译、硬译等影响翻译质量的现象,而解决这些问题的最有效也是使用最频繁的方法就是解释,因此,通过对翻译理论、翻译方法和翻译实例的研究,作者认为在中国国际合作与交流的背景下,译者在掌握了一定的理论知识、具备一定素质的基础上,巧妙的运用解释翻译方法,能够有效提高外事翻译质量,指导外事翻译工作。文章由六部分组成。引言部分介绍了目前国内外口译理论和方法的研究现状和发展、研究问题和预期目标及意义;第一章简要介绍了中国国际交流与合作的涵义、意义、发展简史以及在此背景下外事翻译的特点;第二章从翻译理论角度出发,论述了在翻译实践中影响外事翻译质量的主要因素:翻译过程、翻译方法和译者。第三章主要从翻译理论的角度介绍了解释翻译方法的含义,由于翻译和国际交往的目的都在于对接受者产生一定的作用,基于纽马克在交际翻译理论中认为翻译者有权对源语进行改进,使源语的思想和文化内涵更接近于接受者,通过实例论述了解释翻译方法始终贯穿于各种类型的外事翻译实践中,论证了运用解释翻译方法提高外事翻译质量的重要性和必要性。第四章从外事实践方面举例说明了在外事翻译中解释翻译方法的运用技巧以获得实效。最后得出结论:在国际交流与合作的外事翻译这项复杂的跨文化传播活动中,在纽马克的交际翻译理论指导下,将解释翻译方法灵活巧妙地运用于外事翻译实践中,是指导外事翻译工作者得到真正有信度、有效度的外事翻译的最佳方法,以达到提高我国外事翻译质量,促进我国国际交流与合作水平的最终目的。
