听力词汇量扩大之研究 ——以听力测试中词汇错误分析为视角

英语学习涉及许多因素,‘传统意义上的听说读写译五大技能缺一不可。随着社会对英语实用技能要求的增强,人们日益关注英语听力能力的提高,而有效提高英语听力水平绝非易事。无可置疑,英语学习的基础是词汇,词汇量大小直接影响英语学习的成功与否。实践证明：听力词汇不同于阅读词汇,阅读能力差主要原因之一是阅读词汇记得不够好。同理,听力水平不高主要影响因素之一是听力词汇量小,即提高听力能力在很大程度上有赖于听力词汇量的扩大。听力词汇一词出现较晚,算起来也不过几十年时间,学术界相关的研究也是甚之又少。本文作者在相关理论和他人研究的基础上,以126名西南石油大学英语专业2010级新生(其中男生39名,女生87名)为研究对象进行了初步探索与研究。这些学生全部都通过高考录取进来,学习英语至少已有六年时间,其英语水平可以代表英语专业新生的整体水平。本研究中,作者试图证明以下假设：1、语言学习者的听力词汇量相对较小2、语音知识能在较大程度上影响学习者的听力理解水平3、学生在听力过程中对语法关注不够4、听力词汇量大的学生通常善于运用学习策略作者对这些同学进行了听力测试和访谈,并在搜集测试资料后进行了错误分析,然后结合访谈一起进行了分析,得出的结论完全支持前面提出的假设。希望本研究能为广大英语学习者、英语教师以及英语研究者提供一些可资参考的建议和进一步研究的基础。
