论文摘要

翻译理论源于翻译实践,又为翻译活动的顺利展开提供科学指导。而作为翻译理论研究基础的翻译史研究,则更是译学理论构建的重中之重。我国是一个有着两千多年悠久翻译传统的国家,译界名家辈出、名译不胜枚举,翻译文学早已成为现代文学不可分割的一部分,翻译理论也成为世界译论的有机组成成分。然而,由于国内翻译理论研究起步较晚,学界对我国的译论历史众说纷纭,或曰译论欠缺,或曰自成体系。究竟我国传统译论如何,翻译史的研究将起到极大的作用。只有掌握了翔实的翻译史料、研究了翻译名家的译著译论,梳理了翻译史的总体脉络,国内的翻译研究才能在史料事实的基础之上朝着正确的方向稳步快速发展。纵观我国的翻译历史,新文化运动时期是一个性质特殊而又影响深远的历史阶段。在当时风云急剧变幻的社会政治大背景下,翻译历史性地肩负起了开启民智、摒弃旧制、改造文化、辅助革命的重任。只有对这个翻译历史时期展开全面深入的研究,我们才能对我国翻译历史的全貌有一个客观的把握,才能深刻理解当前的各种翻译现象和文学文化现象,才能促进翻译事业的进一步发展。本文以历史时间顺序为主线,着重考察该历史时期的主要文学翻译团体及其代表翻译家的翻译活动和历史贡献,通过对主要译事、译作、翻译思想的总结概括,力求了解该阶段翻译活动的概貌,掌握该历史时期的翻译特点,并通过不同翻译阶段的纵向对比,发掘该翻译阶段的重大历史意义和对今后翻译研究的启示作用。
