概念隐喻认知分析及其翻译策略

论文摘要

本论文首先通过理论分析对概念隐喻进行认知分析,主要分析了隐喻产生的认知原因、隐喻的认知功能、隐喻的认知翻译观,然后结合中英文翻译中日常生活及文学中的一些例子从认知角度研究隐喻的翻译策略。本研究旨在1)将隐喻认知与隐喻翻译联系,在认知语言学的视角下研究概念隐喻及其翻译策略;2)评析译文中隐喻翻译的优劣并分析翻译策略选择的认知过程,对个别翻译提出自己的建议。本研究提出了翻译隐喻的四种方法,即保留源语隐喻形象、采用目标语隐喻形象、意译和保留原文形象并加注。并指出译者应恰当运用翻译方法,避免误译。概念隐喻是语言中非常普遍的一个现象。对概念隐喻进行认知分析有利于帮助人们从认知角度来认识和理解它;从认知角度研究隐喻的翻译策略,这对隐喻的翻译有很高的指导意义和价值。认知语言学的理论给概念隐喻的翻译研究提供了一个新的视角和理论基础。总体而言,传统翻译理论大多是以修辞为取向,从文体、语言形式以及文化上的差异进行静态的比较,忽视了隐喻的认知性质。而从隐喻的认知特点来分析,翻译就是将一种文化中语言所表现的认知方式用目的语传递到另一种文化中去的过程,不然翻译就无法完成传播民族文化的使命。隐喻与翻译紧密相关,因为认知是形成隐喻这种人类语言普遍现象的基础,所以从认知角度谈隐喻的翻译很科学、很有价值。
