测试对教学的辅助一贯得到公认,教学上的改变也必然会在测试领域得到体现。近两年来的大学英语课程改革不仅对四六级考试产生了影响,改革中对自主学习能力的重视,计算机辅助教学手段的介入使大学英语的教学方法和教学过程都和以前有了极大的不同,听力课更是成为一门彻底的学生自主学习的课程。对学生听力学习过程的监督、管理、引导和辅助成为教师的主要角色,从而在教学中产生对听力诊断测试进行研究的迫切需求。然而国内外对于诊断测试的研究大多停留在其对教学的影响、特征方面,仅在阅读方面有一些具体实践性的研究面世,本课题旨在研究在大学英语教学中,教师如何构建和实施听力诊断测试,从而对教和学产生积极的影响,因此具有相当重要的实践意义。鉴于多项选择题型的弊病在测试领域已经被广泛的批评,本文通过对听力理解的特征、测试理论和国内外在听力测试领域的发现的回顾,基于诊断测试的特点,提出大学英语听力诊断测试的构建,建议通过建构题型来实现这种测试并给出一些实践指导。为了对这一理论假设进行验证,本课题设计了两份各自由多项选择题型和建构题型组成的听力诊断试卷,通过对学生测试结果的定量分析,并辅助以对学生调查问卷和口头报告的定性研究,最终得出结论:在实现大学英语听力诊断测试的构建中,建构题型在效度、真实性和对教学的后效作用方面明显优于选择题型。作者由衷地希望本课题的这些结论和建议能够对大学英语教师实施听力诊断测试提供指导,使之产生积极的反拨作用,从而对更好地贯彻课程改革有所帮助。
