从源文本的选择和解读看译者的主体性

自有翻译活动以来,原文文本一直占据着翻译研究的中心位置,译者始终处于附属地位,而译者的主体性则长期被忽视,但译者主体性确实客观存在于翻译过程之中。随着翻译研究的发展,特别是随着文化转向的盛行,翻译理论家们开始把更多的注意力投向译者,从而把译者主体性的研究推向了翻译的最前沿。译者主体性的研究已成为了翻译研究的热门话题。翻译,本质上就是一种阐释。阐释学是一门关于理解和解释的艺术,也是一门科学。阐释学被用于解释翻译中出现的一些现象,给了研究者们很多启发。伽达默尔及其哲学阐释学更是把阐释学的发展推到了一个新的高度,特别是他提出的“偏见”,“效果历史”以及“视域融合”的概念,对我们研究翻译,特别是对译者主体性的研究有很大的启发。本文承认并尊重译者的主体性,从现代阐释学的角度出发,对译者主体性问题进行了较为深刻的探讨,文章从“偏见”,“效果历史”以及“视域融合”等几个现代阐释学的核心概念入手,分析了译者主体性在源文本的选择和解读过程中的体现。在源文本的选择过程中,译者的生活经历、兴趣爱好、美学欣赏能力、以及其脾气秉性都决定了他/她对源文本的选择;在对源文本的解读过程中,译者的语言驾驭能力,双语文化知识,以及其独特的翻译标准都会影响其文本的解读。同时,这些方面也充分证明了译者主体性在翻译中的存在,并在翻译过程中发挥着重要的作用。
