双言背景下语码转换的社会语言学研究 ——以《海派清口》为例

过去的几十年里,语码转换研究取得了重要的成果。作为一种普遍存在的语言接触现象,语码转换研究不断取得新发现。与研究者们对双语背景下语码转换的浓厚兴趣相比,双言现象里的语码转换研究并没有得到学者和语言学家们足够的重视。本文通过对周立波《海派清口》里语码转换案例的特征、形式、动机及功能进行社会语言学分析,试图得出双言现象里语码转换的本质和机制。本文以Myers-Scotton的标记模式为理论框架。该模式包含一个协商原则和该原则下的五项具体准则,并认为这些准则适用于解释任何类型的语码转换。与许多其他研究语码转换的途径不同的是,标记模式从社会语言学的路径出发,指出作为理性行为者的说话人所做的每一次语言选择都是为了协商一套有利于自己的权利义务集。基于这样的假设,本文通过对标记模式下的协商原则及五项准则的应用,对《海派清口》里的语码转换现象进行定性分析,从而证实标记模式理论在语码转换和语言选择方面的综合解释力。本文以《海派清口》为例,同时分析了普通话和上海方言之间语码转换的特征。这一发现不仅对认识上海地区双言现象提供了途经,还有助于理解普通话和地区方言在当今中国的地位和相互关系。
