改写及再创—评许渊冲的英译古诗
论文摘要
许渊冲是当今中国最重要的翻译家之一。从上世纪八十年代开始,他一直从事古诗外译的工作,短短三十年,著书六十余部,为中国文化传播,以及中西方文化交流做出重大贡献。文章采用定性研究的方法,力图用勒弗菲尔的理论来研究许渊冲的古诗英译。他将自己的翻译方法定义为“创译”,这一点与勒弗菲尔的“改写”有异曲同工之处。本文通过用勒弗菲尔的操纵理论框架研究许渊冲的古诗翻译,着眼于许渊冲生活的时代,分析中国社会的意识形态和主流诗学,从而指出这两大因素对于许渊冲翻译实践的影响。文章试图采用较客观的研究态度及较宏观的研究方法,从而为针对许渊冲的翻译研究提供新的视角,以推动中国本土翻译家研究进程,促进中国传统文化传播。
